Elk Creek Railroad Swimming Hole
Decent swimming hole under railroad bridge. Only about 5-6 feet deep in a 5-6 foot wide section but nice little spot.
This was used as a water reservoir by the Mayans. It is a busy tourist attraction sometimes. While the Xtoloc Cenote served a utilitarian purpose, it should be remembered that the Maya believed that cenotes were the passages to the underground and afterlife.
